The month before Christmas one of Ansil’s socks mysteriously appears on the fireplace mantle. This continues throughout the Christmas season creating consternation when each blames the other. Nevertheless, the poem does have a religious theme when the dog and his man resolve their differences. Sockhoppin’ Christmas offers a message to the true meaning of Christmas. A book for all ages.
Larry A. Reynolds is the author and publisher of two local history books, The Mudsock Scrapbook and I Dream Of Mudsock as well as two humorous fiction books, The Mudsock Manuscripts and The Bear In The Basement.
Greg Shelton, a renowned artist from Indianapolis, illustrated this book. He wrote, animated and produced the half-hour Christmas special, Santa’s Misfit Mutt.
